During this Friday’s World Series of Bicycling event at Valley Preferred Cycling Center, Marty Nothstein will be featured in a special Q&A around his recently-released book.

Stop by the VeloPlaza at 7:00 p.m. as Nothstein, an Olympic Gold Medalist, discusses his hard-fought road to gold in track cycling in the 2000 Olympics, as described in his new memoir, “The Price of Gold; The Toll and Triumph of One Man’s Olympic Dream.”

He will be joined by his long-time coach and mentor, Gil Hatton, along with up-and-coming track cyclist Matt Baranoski – three generations of track cycling at America’s most storied velodrome.

The discussion will be moderated by Morning Call sports reporter Gary Blockus.
