Lauren Franges Tamayo became the latest T-Town rider to medal in an Olympic Games, when she and her U.S. teammates claim Silver in the Women’s Team Pursuit in London on Saturday evening. Tamayo, a Central Catholic grad and product of Valley Preferred Cycling Center’s community programs, teamed with with former world champion Sarah Hammer, another name T-town fans may recognize, and Dotsie Bausch to finish second in the Gold Medal final to Great Britain.
