Valley Preferred Cycling Center will celebrate the Fourth of July weekend in grand cycling fashion on Friday night. The event will feature cycling’s most-popular races all on one card.

There will definitely be fireworks, but it’s not the kind you are thinking of. Some of the highest caliber of pro track cyclists will clash in the World Series of Bicycling. There will be explosive speed, loud noises, flashes of color and a steady stream of fire power.

Friday’s event will showcase three key races to spark the T-Town crowd:

  • US 10 Mile Championship
  • Invitational Keirin
  • Madison

“All three of those events are definitely fantastic events in their own right, but to be able to showcase those events to the fans on the Fourth of July weekend is going to be awesome,” said Marty Nothstein, executive director of Valley Preferred Cycling Center. ”What I think is going to make it extremely exciting is the quality of riders. We have German riders in town, riders from Argentina, New Zealand, Canada and Australia. We have just about every favorite and dangerous event on the track in one night.”

Friday’s rider count is expected to be strong.  Several sprinters are in town for the short distance events, and the 10-Mile and Madison is attracting some of the best distance riders.

Sit on the VeloDeck

Get out of the hot sun! Enjoy the night of racing from the shade of our popular VeloDeck. Tickets for this exclusive space are just $10 per person. Plus, we’ll throw in a beer.

The deck will not only feature shade and comfort for the races, we’ll also have premium craft beer on the deck that will not be available at the main beer stand.

Select brews from Victory, Troegs, Prism and Red Hook will be available on the deck.

Tickets are just $10, or $5 for all persons under the age of 21. Buy your ticket early at the box office. Space is limited!

$2 Budweiser Special: We have stocked up on Budweiser to help the “Red, White and Blue Summer” campaign. Now that we have all this beer, we’re able to offer Budweiser beer to our fans for just $2.

Anheuser-Busch is donating a portion of the sales through July 7 on the special patriotic design to support the Folds of Honor organization, which provides post-secondary educational scholarships for families of military personnel killed or disabled while serving.

Event Info: General Admission tickets start at just $5, and kids 12 and under get in free! Gates open at 5:30. Racing starts at 7:30.
