A Team Integrity rider racing during Spring 2009 All-Star Finals

2013 SPRING BRL SEASON OVERVIEW

The Red Robin Marty Nothstein Bicycle Racing League spring season begins April 8, 2013, with one week of introductory safety and skill classes for all new riders. These classes are mandatory for all new riders and must be completed to be eligible to participate in team practices. Riders with limited experience or those in need of a refresher after a long winter of indoor training may attend the introductory classes, if desired.

Starting April 15, 2013, each team will practice twice a week for three weeks, followed by a round-robin format of racing that will pit all teams against each other. Each team will race six times over the full season and riders will earn individual and team points at each race. These points will help determine the individual and overall team championships. The regular season concludes with the BRL Team Championships on June 13, 2013. All teams qualify for the Team Championships and awards will be presented at the end of the night’s events. The BRL All-Stars will take place on June 28, 2013, during Friday night’s World Series of Bicycling and consists of the top 12 riders from each team in each category.

New for 2013 due to the high participation numbers of the last year, we have added a 5th team! The introductory season for Team Yummm will promise to be a great one!
